QV Outdoor Cinema is subject to weather conditions. Please refer to our terms and conditions for more information.

How do the headphones work?

Each patron is provided with a set of High Quality Stereo Wireless Headphones. Every headset is equipped with its own volume control dial so patrons can alter their volume to their liking.

The headphones can only be used with our equipment and are programmed to receive a UHF frequency from our transmitter located in the Cinema. Patrons are reminded to ensure they are on the correct channel (e.g. Blue) and that their volume control is turned up.

At the end of the film, patrons return the wireless headphones to the Cinema desk.

Please note that patrons are required to deposit a credit card in their name when checking-in for security purposes. Your credit card will be handed back once the headphones are returned to the Cinema desk. If you do not have a credit card, photo ID will be sufficient.

Feel free to eat chips, munch on loud food, laugh, cry and talk if you want – It won’t disturb others watching the movie with their headphones on.

Refunds will not be given for a cancellation or termination due to adverse weather conditions, but replacement tickets are offered. (See Weather FAQs for further details)

For full details of our refund policy please refer to our Terms and Conditions.

What if it rains?

As an outdoor event QV Cinema is subject to weather. We try to go ahead with screenings wherever possible and do not cancel for intermittent/potential rain. We strongly recommend you bring wet weather gear to screenings in case of rain.

Screenings will be cancelled only if the weather poses a safety threat to patrons and staff. Screenings are cancelled based on the conditions on site. We try to cancel as early as possible, however as weather conditions are unpredictable, we may have to cancel close to or during the screening. Patrons accept the risk that weather they consider unsatisfactory may occur on a screening night and acknowledge that tickets will not be re-validated unless a screening is cancelled by QV Cinema.

In the event of a cancellation, ticket holders will receive an email to the email address provided at the time of booking. You will then be able to use your QV Cinema tickets to re-book for another session. Cancellation notices will also be posted on our social media channels.
